Kambó is a powerful physical and spiritual therapy that originated with the native tribes of the Amazon rainforest in South America. Today, it is increasingly sought after by those who follow natural and alternative medicine.

Preparation and Effects
For best results, it is recommended to follow a light vegetarian and fruit-based diet for at least two days before the session. This helps activate prana—the vital life energy that flows through the body. During the ritual, it is common to experience a brief rise in body temperature and temporary weakness, followed by an overwhelming sensation of clarity, lightness, and well-being.
When applied to specific points by an experienced shaman, Kambó enters the bloodstream and acts on multiple physiological systems, detoxifying, nourishing, and strengthening the body. The process usually lasts 20 to 40 minutes and may involve natural purging through sweating, vomiting, or elimination via the urinary or intestinal tract.

Dietary Guidelines

Avoid alcohol, tobacco, drugs, processed foods, meat, and pharmaceuticals. A five-hour fast with only water or natural juices is required before the ceremony. Just before the ritual, participants drink about two liters of pure water to facilitate toxin release.
Contraindications
Kambó is not suitable for everyone. It is strictly contraindicated for:
- Individuals who have received an organ transplant, as the immune-stimulating effects may trigger rejection.
- People with serious heart conditions, unless cleared by a physician, because the therapy increases cardiac activity.
